Who We Are
OverEdu (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates educational webpages primarily intended as teacher/parent-guided instructional aids, not as direct child-facing services.
What We Do (and Don’t) Collect
- No child personal data by design: We do not ask children to submit names, email addresses, photos, or recordings.
- No accounts for children: We do not provide child log-in or registration features.
- Technical logs (minimal): Our servers may process transient technical data (IP address, user-agent, timestamp) for security and metrics.
- Local storage (adult-side only): Pages may store short-lived flags in
localStorageorsessionStorageto confirm adult presence. This data never leaves the device. - No behavioral advertising: We do not track or profile children for ads.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We avoid non-essential cookies on pages used by children. If optional analytics or embedded tools are added, adults will receive clear notices and consent options.
Legal Bases and Children’s Privacy
- Republic of Korea: We comply with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Pages are adult-led, avoiding child data collection.
- United States (COPPA): COPPA applies to child-directed online services. Our pages are adult-guided. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we do inadvertently, we promptly delete it.
